Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé CMC 1:18

In the 1950’s, the fastest BMW was able to reach 170km/h and the swiftest Porsches were capable of 200km/h, yet the legendary 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé attained speeds of nearly 300km/h —enough to power this machine to glory in all the big races; but surprisingly this never happened.

Only two 300 SLR Coupés were made and Mercedes-Benz never offered them to the public. Mercedes-Benz chief engineer, Rudolf Uhlenhaut intended them to be raced in the 1956 Le Mans, but the brand withdrew from the motorsport at the end of 1955; so Ulenhaut famously appropriated one of the automobiles as his preferred company car, utilizing it for all his business trips throughout Europe.

Made from 1,817 individual parts, this special CMC Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé was originally made in 2011 to celebrate Mercedes-Benz’s 125th anniversary. As a limited edition of 4,000, these cars are extremely rare and much sought after. We only have a very few left in our inventory.
